how do I get over my fear of flying?
Without abusing alcohol and/or Xanax? I’ve been flying ever since I can remember, but I became freakishly afraid of it like 3 years ago. And no, it didn’t have anything to do with 9/11. I know it’s unlikely that any particular plane will crash, but to imagine it happening is just too horrifying. And no one can really guarantee it won’t happen… Help! I have to fly in a month and I don’t want to go through the stress and panic attacks and pill-popping.
I myself get the jitters still to this day. I have great luck with a double martini and a Xanax about 30 minutes before take off. Other than that remedy lol the only way to really get over it is to keep trying to calm yourself down and convince yourself that you are going to be ok.
