A TV Documentary About Alcoholic Symptoms Results in Some Tense and Disappointing Feelings About a Young Female’s Irresponsible Drinking
Daniel had been engaging in fairly heavy drinking behavior since her senior year in college. Now, four years later, she drank more than ever. One Thursday night when she was feeling a bit nauseous, Daniel decided to stay home, loosen up, and watch television.
While hunting for a special program to watch that she would find interesting, she instantly became attracted to a program about young adult and adolescent drinking stumbling blocks.

The narrator discussed the difference between alcohol abuse and alcohol dependency and then discussed the topic of alcoholism symptoms and alcoholism warning signs. When the speaker went into detail about a person’s alcoholic behavior and some of the more common alcohol dependency symptoms and signs that alcohol dependent people exhibit, Daniel got quite concerned because it almost seemed as if the spokesperson was talking specifically to her.
After watching the television program, Daniel made a promise to herself that she would call her health care provider the next workday and make an appointment to discuss her drinking circumstance.
When the next business day arrived, true to her word, Daniel called her doctor and made an appointment. While she was waiting for the day of her appointment to arrive, she went on the Internet and did a search for alcoholic symptoms. Especially noteworthy were the following signs or symptoms: serious work-related and relationship problems, making excuses to drink at almost every opportunity, increasing irritability, sleep problems, and sneaking a few extra drinks before social events.
Simply stated, since Daniel manifested all of these symptoms she went further in her Internet search and found numerous blogs and websites that discussed various alcohol dependency symptoms and warning signs.
One of the signs that really took hold of her awareness was the following: “Do you regularly drink after making a promise to yourself that you won’t?” While Daniel never accepted the fact that she may have a serious drinking issue, after reading about the various alcohol dependency warning signs and symptoms, she couldn’t renounce the fact that for the past three or four months, she frequently tried but failed at notably reducing her drinking or quitting entirely.
When Coworkers and Friends Hassle You by Disapproving of Your Abusive Drinking

If truth be told, for the first time in several months, Daniel honestly felt a sense of hope because she was confronting her drinking concerns and was at long last ready to make the required alterations so that she could recapture the life that was sliding away.
