3-6 weeks on average. Maybe sooner for some. But it won’t cure them. You havae to do thinking modification also.

FlowersY is right – approximately 3 to 6 weeks. I am somewhat confused though. Effexor XR I have never heard of but Efexor XL – also known as Venlfaxine (is a slow release medication) is used as an SSRI antidepressant. What other medication are you on?
