Best Panic Attacks Treatment blog

Welcome to my Best Panic attacks treatment blog

I decided to start a blog after I found a way to help my daughter with her panic attacks. My daughter had been suffering from panic attacks for a few years, she would have an attack every 6 months or so, so I wasn’t that concerned.

When she reached her teens this changed and she started to get panic attacks on a weekly basis. Being a concerned parent I took her to the doctors only to be told don’t worry she will grow out of it and we were given a leaflet to read. We took the leaflet home had a read through it. I have to say I was very disappointed with this and decided to take the matter into my own hands. I started looking on the internet for Panic Attacks Treatment and I have to say I was surprised at all the information. I found many different cures for panic attacks.

I read about herbal remedies, hypnosis, and different types of medication. I did a lot of research on all the different types of panic attacks treatment. I looked into the different herbal remedies. The one and only herbal remedy we tried was lemon balm tea. My daughter tried it, but she really didn’t like the taste. I tried adding honey to it but this really didn’t help. My daughter also made a very good point, if she started to feel a panic attack coming on, she would’t be able to go and make herself a delicious cup of lemon balm tea (my daughter can be very sarcastic) at school. I had to admit she was right so the next option was going to see a Hypnotherapist.

My daughter decided she really didn’t want to do this. She said  don’t want to have to go and see someone; I want to be able to do it at home. I could see that she was getting apprehensive just talking about it so I decided not to go that route either.

I then came across a product called Panic Away. This product was developed by a panic attack sufferer. He now calls himself a former sufferer of panic attacks. I read through the site, read the testimonials and dug around a little. It did seem too good to be true. I decided to find some reviews on this product before I suggested it to my daughter. I couldn’t believe how many people were recommending this product. There were so many people saying such positive things about it. One thing that I kept hearing was that there was a One Move Technique! this technique was capable of controlling and eventually defeating panic attacks for good and naturally. I was intrigued about this One Move Technique so I decided to get a copy of Panic Away to see for myself.

I bought the course and after reading through the book, I decided to help my daughter with the techniques. The first goal in this course is to go a whole week without a panic attack. We both watched the video which lasted about 1hour 45minutes. She worked through the techniques and to my amazement my daughter went well over 3 weeks without a panic attack. I have to say this unique way of learning was perfect for my daughter if I had asked her to read through all the material I don’t think it would have worked.

I then downloaded the mp3 recording onto her iPod. She found this very useful as she no longer felt on her own. This recording guided her through a panic attack and showed her how to stop her panic attacks quickly. Because the school knew she had a problem they allow her to take her iPod with her, if she starts to feel an attack coming on she listens to the recording and feels much calmer. This has been a godsend, no more phone calls in the middle of the day asking me to pick her up from school.

She appears to be more confident and relaxed. Has she had any more panic attacks? She has a couple, but these seem to be getting less frequent. Also when she has an attack she is better able to cope with it, and they don’t seem to bother her. This programme is defiantly helping her with her fear of having panic attacks. Because she feels more relaxed the attacks don’t happen very often.

I am so glad that I have found this product. Thank you, Joe Barry for helping my daughter.

Flower Remedies for Panic Attacks

Simon France of Aquarius Flower Remedies writes about

Flower remedies have been used for over 70 years to treat and help us manage our negative mental and emotional states. They are natural remedies that have absolutely no side effects: they can do no harm – only good. Fears, phobias, stresses agitations and anxieties figure prominently in the flower remedy repertory and are therefore well-suited to use alongside any other therapy in the healing and management of panic attacks. In fact so benign are flower remedies that the sufferers themselves can self-prescribe in confidence because even if they choose incorrectly the remedies can do no harm.

Here is a list of common symptoms associated with panic attacks and the flower remedies used to treat these negative states.

Anxiety and apprehension treated with Aspen flower remedy

Fear treated with Garlic flower remedy

Intense nervousness treated with Rock Rose flower remedy

Intense agitation treated with Sweet Chestnut flower remedy

Low self-esteem treated with Carduus Thistle

Fear of tipping into the abyss treated with Sedge flower remedy

Dizziness treated with Morning Glory flower remedy

Depression treated with Oleander flower remedy

Racing heart treated with Passion Flower flower remedy

Fear of loosing control treated with Oregano flower remedy

Any number of these flower remedies can be taken together, as well as any more appropriate ones not mentioned above. Not only are they safe to use but convenient too as they can be mixed together into one bottle. They come in dropper bottles, mixed with brandy (preservative) and usually taken 4 drops, 4 times daily. However, if you feel an attack coming or begin to enter a situation that you know may trigger an attack, you can take them as often as required, even every minute, if needed, to help calm yourself down.

A big question is, how effective are flower remedies? No form of medicine or therapy works for everyone: if it did I guess we would only need that one form. For some people flower remedies have little effect whilst for others a very profound therapeutic effect. A few years ago I conducted a survey amongst our customers that revealed one third of respondents considered that flower remedies had had a miraculous effect. In fairness all those that responded had had positive results from using flower remedies and I guess those dissatisfied did not bother to reply. Nevertheless, I was shocked to learn that such a high percentage had gained such a high benefit from their use.

More information about the flower remedies mentioned above, plus many more, is available from www.aquariusflowerremedies.com

An estimated 15% of the population live in highly restricted ways due to their suffering of constant anxiety that severely affects their lives. Obsessive thoughts, extreme shyness, phobias, panic attacks, and even compulsive behaviors, are some of what these people experience on a daily basis. Their lives have become disrupted by the feeling of constant anxiety that dominates them.

Sadly, there are some who have become confined to their homes, unable to visit the market, drive or even work. Anxiety is much more serious and damaging than just an occasional wave of apprehension for these people.

There are different types of anxiety disorders out there that can go from minor to severe depending on the individual. A person’s overall behavior, thoughts, feelings and physical sensations are affected by an anxiety disorder. Depending on which type of anxiety disorder they have will determine the severity of it. People handle anxiety in different ways so the severity of their suffering will vary from person to person.

A fear of being around other people is known as social anxiety or social phobia. People suffering from from this particular disorder feel self-conscious around others. They feel that everyone is staring at them, judging and being critical in some way.

These people also learn to stay away from social situations and avoid others, because the anxiety is so overwhelming. Some stay in a room with the door closed so that they can be alone. The feeling is constant and even happens with people they know and have spent time around.

Social anxiety sufferers are aware that their thoughts and fears are not rational. They know that others are not really watching or evaluating them. But, even knowing this does not make the feelings go away.

A person that has panic attacks without warning, suffers from a condition known as panic disorder.

About 5% of the adult American population suffers from panic attacks, according to the National Institute of Mental Health. For those people who experience panic attacks and never receive treatment go unknown, therefore, making the number higher than recorded.

People suffering from panic attacks experience:

Trembling
Sweaty palms and hands, tingling in the hands, feet, legs, and arms
Acceleration or pounding of the heart
Heaviness in the heart or chest pains
Feeling of terror
Dizziness and lightheaded
Fear of dying
Fear of losing control or going crazy
Feeling unable to catch one’s breath

In some instances, the person who has a panic attack does not know what causes it. It happens unexpectedly and without warning. For some people, they have encountered difficult times and have felt extreme stress and weren’t surprised that they had the panic attack.

Finding treatments for anxiety and panic attacks is the foremost step to overcoming your problem with anxiety. Once receiving the proper treatment, most people who suffer from anxiety begin to feel better in a short amount of time. Since each person’s anxiety is caused by a unique set of factors, it can be difficult to identify the correct treatment.

Seeking professional help immediately will allow you to have a diagnosis of the problem and set you on your way to conquering your anxiety. Anxiety can be overcome if dealt with properly. It takes the patient believing that his or her anxiety can be stopped and overcame.

Anxiety and Pregnancy any advice?

Okay thank you in advance.

This year has been hell for me. I have problems with bad depression and got back on my meds generally Prozac, HOWEVER, a new scary symptom has arisen….panic attacks. The prozac has helped with my moods and I took it during my first pregnancy but I have never had anxiety and panic attacks that have manifested so physically. I was in the ER twice that’s how bad it was! They put me on some Clonazepam a while back and that helped alot but once I found out I was pregnant I stopped it.

I can’t eat.
I can’t sleep.
My symptoms are manifesting so physically that I am losing weight. I have tried yoga, counseling, breathing, and they still come. I just do not know what to do.

Any advice from maybe any of you out there who have experienced this?

I know how you feel. I suffer from panic attacks everyday almost for the last 6 months and before that I suffered with them on and off since I was little. I am 23 now. I think you should talk to your Dr. about this and see if there is any medication they can put you on that will not effect you or the baby & if you plan on breastfeeding then you will want something safe after too.

You will be fine and you will get through this and hopefully I will too. It is a scary and bad feeling. I came across this video today and it was helpful a little bit. Watch it and it might just help you too.
